The extraction of fluorspar at Tearsall will replace the mining activities at Winster Moor, continuing the transportation of minerals along an already established lorry route. Therefore, the proposed development is not expected to have a significant impact on the surrounding roads.

The traffic route from the site will be Bonsall Lane to the B5056 at Winster; along the B5056 to the A6, east of Haddon Hall; along the A6 through Bakewell to Ashford in the Water; then along the B6465.

As the haul route has been established for over 30 years and the capacity of the road network is more than adequate to accommodate the re-routed trips from the Winster site to the Tearsall site, the proposed development would not have an adverse effect on the surrounding road network.
